Reinforcing

All seams on Ullman bluewater sails are double or triple-stitched as required.

Ullman Sails uses specially constructed synthetic cloth woven from fibers that increase strength, UV protection and longevity that will stand up to the demands of long-distance cruising.

We use heavy-duty, fiberglass battens for longer sail life. Details, such as batten end closures, feature easy adjustment and extra chafe protection.

Every sail Ullman offers is built for the long haul, continuing to perform in a wide range of conditions.

Long reinforced patches that will take the high-loads of the head, tack, and clew. In addition, our sailmakers heavily reinforce wear-and-tear areas around the batten pockets, slides, and reef points.

Strengthen areas around hardware attachments; and add anti-chaffing measures including seam coatings, and spreader and stanchion patches. And we only use the highest quality hardware and construction materials.
